BALLOT RESULTS TO DISPOSE OF PAPOOSE PARK
Dear Property Owners,
The Board sent out a ballot to all property owners to cast your vote to dispose of Papoose Park or to keep it.
The deadline to turn in those ballots was August 31, 2016.
In September three people counted the ballots (Phyllis the Board President, one non-resident who is a notary and one Ex-law enforcement officer). There was a total of 324 ballots received. Our CC&R’s require two thirds of the property owners to vote which in our case would be 738 ballots. Since we did not receive a sufficient amount of votes this ballot initiative is now void.
Of the 324 ballots received 174 voted NO, not to sell the park, and 150 voted YES.
It is now clear to the board that the majority of the owners not only do not want to give away the park but they also do not want to dissolve the association. The association rules and regulations along with state mandated laws are here to protect the property owners. Now it is up to the Board to keep enforcing the CC&R’s and abiding by the state laws that govern associations.
Thank you to all that participated in submitting your ballot.
