Recreation Sites

  • Camanche Lake Community Center
    This is a wonderful site to find many activities and events for our community such as bingo, poker night, pre-school, playgroups, bunko and other special events. Please support our local Community Center.
  • Lake Camanche Recreation
    Full body contact is allowed on our lake and we are a popular destination for summer jet-skiing, wakeboarding, and boating. There is also a fully stocked trout pond at South Shore. Marinas on North and South shores offer boat rentals, slips, fuel, bait, tackle and supplies. Full RV hookups, shoreline camping and lots of campsites with barbecues, tables, hot showers, restrooms and laundry facilities make Camanche one of the best recreational destinations in California. Fully furnished cottages at both shores and motel units at our North shore are also available for a unique resort experience.
  • Amador County Recreational Agency - ACRA is a Joint Powers Agency established in October 2003 between the following members: Amador County Unified School District, Amador City, Ione, Jackson, Plymouth, Sutter Creek, Amador County, County Service Area #3 (Camanche area), Volcano Community Service District/Upcountry Recreation Organization.

  • Volcano Communications Group-Volcano is the local telephone, cable, and high speed internet provider. They also have a online local yellow pages availiable.
  • Pacific Gas and Electric is the local Electric Company for the Camanche area.

  • ACES Waste Service - Aces cares for the waste and recycling transfers in Lake Camanche area. They also have construction and demolition debris boxes if you are planninfg to build. They can be reached at: (209) 296-2237 or (800) 488-2237
  • AT&T also provides phone service to the Camanche area. Sorry to say the DSL is currently not provided.
  • Amador Water Agency - In 1959, the Amador Water Agency was formed for the purpose of providing water and wastewater services to the residents of Amador County.
